General Employment Information
Watson Bowman Acme is a full service expansion control systems provider, providing products to the Architectural, Open Air (parking ramps, stadiums, etc…), Bridge Highway and Maintenance products. Due to our continued success in all areas, we are always looking for good people to join our team. With our offices located in Amherst, NY, just outside of Buffalo, NY, we have opportunities in all areas there as well as a need for sales people throughout the US. The following is some of what WBA has to offer.
Safety – WBA/BASF are fully committed to providing a safe work place for our employees and consider safety to be a condition of employment. WBA/BASF has an excellent safety record and believes accidents are preventable. Everyone working at our facility must follow all safety rules and use all personal protective equipment as necessary. We want our employees to go home to their family the same way they come into work and make safety a way of life and always a part of their individual actions.
Hours – WBA Office employees work M-F, 8am to 4:45pm. WBA Shop employees work a 4-day, 10-hour schedule. You may be asked to work the day shift (7am to 5:30pm) or the night shift (5:30pm to 4am). You may be asked to work a Monday thru Thursday or Tuesday thru Friday schedule. Overtime is usually available but never guaranteed.
Training – WBA/BASF want to keep our employees trained and informed on company information. We use a combination of classroom and computer training that all employees are required to complete on an annual basis to stay informed and trained in general work practices and safety.
Performance Management – Employee reviews are conducted at least annually. Supervisors and Managers are encouraged to communicate with their employees on a regular basis and encourage job improvement or advancement. Employees are evaluated and raises are given based on many factors with individual performance being part of that calculation.
