Ontario customers benefit from synergies of BASF Parking Team
Toronto, ON - April 27, 2018
BASF's Ontario Parking Team has developed a powerful business model by holding training events that include both BASF Construction Systems deck membrane customers and Watson Bowman Acme expansion joint applicators.
“Expansion joints are a critical accessory to deck membranes, which creates BASF’s unique ability to be a single source for all aspects of parking deck protection” says Paul Hanratty, Sales Manager for Ontario.
BASF invited 25 companies who install Construction Systems deck membranes and Watson Bowman Acme expansion joints to attend a skills development workshop at our distributor partner, Jamac Sales, located in the Greater Toronto Area. The event was hosted by the Watson Bowman Acme field service team, who developed a challenging curriculum that engaged the attendees throughout the two-day event.
Attendance was limited to two mechanics per company due to the hands-on nature of the workshop. Due to the overwhelming demand, a second day was added to accommodate the desire for advanced skills
training. As a result, CS customers left with a greater knowledge of expansion joints, and the WBA applicators are now familiar with deck membrane systems. They also had the opportunity to network with new colleagues in the industry.
A special thanks to Watson Bowman Acme’s John Manning, Mike Farrow, Mike Frayne, Alicia Weigand and Construction Systems’ Wayne Gomes who combined their skills to make this event an overwhelming success.
